Volunteer Spotlight: Magdalana
Magdalana Siegel has been our volunteer support group leader since Fall 2011. In her day job, she is a licensed therapist with a private practice.
"I am always in the company of wise women," Magdalana says about WLP guest. "I feel very blessed that there was a space for me at the Women's Lunch Place."
In the group, women work through their shared concerns: living in shelters overcoming addition, dealing with fear, and restoring dignity while homeless.
Magdalana is grateful to be a volunteer. She says, " I get to witness women's generosity to one another. In the face of loneliness and disappointment, there is a reserve of wisdom in each woman."
